By VJ | Apr 25, 2007

Have you installed a new copy of Windows and not able to see Hibernate option when you click on “Turn off Computer”?

Here is a simple method to Enable it.

  1. Click Start and go onto Control Panel, and open Power options.
  2. In that window click on Hibernate Tab(If you don’t see the Hibernate tab, your computer does not support hibernation).

  4. Tick “Enable Hibernation”, and your hibernation will be enabled.
  5. If still you don’t see the option when you click on “Turn off computer”, then press the shift key and then see that, “Stand by” option will change to “Hibernate”. If still it doesn’t comes up then just press the “H” key and then it will start the hibernating process.
