Install Backup Utility in Windows XP Home

The best way to save your data today is to take a backup copy of it. If you are using Windows XP home edition, the you might have realized that it does not any option for backup. You must be thinking Why is that? Well, that question can be answered by Microsoft, but right now i will let you know how to install the backup utility on Windows XP home.
Follow these Steps

  • Insert the Windows XP home edition disk in your ROM.
  • Now close the autoplay window that comes and instead of that, open My computer and open the Drive.
  • There you will find VALUEADD folder. Go on to VALUEADD –> MSFT –> NTBACKUP.
  • You will see a wizard coming in front, just complete the setup and you are now ready to take backup in XP home as well.

You can access the Backup Utility by going into Start –> Programs –> Accessories –> System Tools –> Backup.
Your data is now safe with backup.

    yes, even i always thought , why ms havent given that option, but now i can take backup in my original xp home as well.
