Hide Your Xp Computer In Network

If you want to hide your Xp computer in a network in such a way that only shared folders should be accessible and the computer should not be listed in the network neighborhood, then there is a simple command you need to run. Go to run window and type in the following command.

net config server /hidden:yes

By running this command it will make sure that you are still able to share files and folders, just you are made invisible in the network. Your computer will ping properly and work as normal.

    hi

    this command didn’t work,i apply this command in my network computer but my computer appear all other network connected computers,and the commands for encrypting folders are also not worked,the command prompt also tells

    LISTING F:

    NEW FILES ADDED TO THIS DIRECTORY WILL NOT BE ENCRYPTED,even my directory is NTFS.

    @ imran : It looks like you don’t have enough rights. Are you logged in as administrator?
    @Shatnanu : No it’s not, You can revert it back as well.
