Show IP - Firefox Add-on

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Email alerts. Thanks for visiting!

ShowIP is a Mozilla Firefox extension which shows the IP Address of the current page in status bar and allows queries to different databases about it when you right click on it. The IP is colored red for an IPv4 address and green for an IPv6 address, making a clear demarcation between the two. If you want to change these colors, it can be done as well from the options menu.

Show IP

With a left click one can get information about the hostname of the current page. These queries are fully customizable in the settings dialog. You can also run custom local programs, which I think is the biggest advantage and the main reason I installed this Add-on.
It might not be useful to all, but all web developers out there, working for server and configuration side, this can be really useful about getting some deep information about a site. Click Here to Download, Homepage.
